The growth in Blancpain GT World Challenge America has continued, with confirmation of a new two-car Ferrari effort for the SRO Motorsports America-run championship.
Ferrari Challenge outfit One11 Competition will make the step up to GT3 competition this year, fielding Ferrari 488 GT3 cars in the Pro-Am and Am classes.
GT racing veteran Matt Plumb will team up with Alfred Caiola in the No. 99 Ferrari, with Chris Cagnazzi and Brian Kaminskey set to share driving duties of the No. 19 car, which will compete for Am class honors.
The effort is spearheaded by Peter Spinella, who has elevated his New York-based team into the professional ranks for the first time.
“This driver lineup is well-tenured in Ferrari Challenge, with a lot of good results there, and this is a new step up for them and it is really exciting for us as a group,” said Spinella.
